a day in the life

a few photos to capture a typical day from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m:

5 a.m.

5:15 a.m. I usually take Henry for a run.  Normally, I am not smiling from ear to ear, and I don’t run with my Boston Marathon bib.  You get the idea though.

6:15 ish.  Coffee and a juice or smoothie.

Harvesting by 7 a.m.  We spend the next 5 plus hours bent over.  It’s not a comfortable feeling.

Still harvesting at 9 a.m

Yep, still picking produce at 10 a.m.  This is usually the time when we all begin to get sunburned.

yummmmm, fennel.

Somewhere around the 10 a.m hour it’s time to wash all that produce.

Then it’s lunchtime!

Usually followed by a lot of weeding. And a minor case of heat stroke.

And then  planting.  Still feeling the heat stroke

And then it’s time for a much-needed beer.

And of course dinner.

And cuddling.

Then it’s time for bed.  We get to do the whole thing over again in the morning!

You really gave clarity and insight into what your typical day entails.God only knows how you”re able to do all of this. Good living, for certain, but I think a lot more has to do with both your and Taylor’s sunny personalities and sense of humor. I just love these posts!
