today

Today was the beginning of something great.

Those my friends are tiny beet seeds.

Taylor and Henry loaded up the seeds into the direct seeder and planted away.

Henry is a lover of beets.  Can’t you tell? A dog after my own heart.

Into the ground and now we wait…

Lunch was random but good.

Grilled hummus, cheddar, spinach, and onion sandwiches.

With a side of apple.  Hit the spot!

Not sure whats cooking tonight, but what I do know is that I will continue to dive head first into this AMAZING new book.

I started reading the memoir last night and haven’t stopped thinking about Cheryl Strayed all day.  If you are looking for a new book I highly recommend picking up a copy. Wild by Cheryl Strayed.  Check it out.

Also, if you haven’t checked out a farmer in the dell’s Facebook page, I posted a great article on the physical demands of farming.  It’s definitely worth reading.  Enjoy.

Just finished reading WILD. It will stay with me for a long long time. Cheryl Strayed is on a major book tour so she if she is going to be in your area so that you can go see/hear/feel/smell her.
Also, the book is most likely going to be a movie.
