springtime

Sunscreen? Check.

T-shirt and sunglasses? Check check!

It was another gorgeous day at the farm.

Everyone was in good spirits!

Removing all the clippings from the blueberry orchard wasn’t half bad in the sunshine.  Last year we did it in the cold and rain.

Taylor was down to a t-shirt by 9 am.

And Henry was ready for a water break by ten.

I know it is a bit early for the temperatures to be this high, but I for one am pretty happy about it.  Not sure what this means for the crops, but so far things seem to be fine.

All the hard work in the sun made for a lazy evening.

We had breakfast for dinner.

Scrambled eggs and veggies.

The secret to this dish was the caramelized onions.  We caramelized our onions in some butter and pure maple syrup.  Then we added our veggies.  Brussels, broccoli, and spinach.  Added our eggs and scrambled away.  Easy and delicious!  The touch of sweetness was the highlight.  Yum!

Time to cuddle with my boys.

Have a great evening!

Sunscreen….hell no….you’ve got a good base from last year. Just kidding that’s horrible advice! Also I had a head of cauliflower in the fridge and I made a pizza crust out of it! Genius use for something I would have accidentally let go to waste.

Andrea, thanks for always posting such fun photos of Mr Henry. We love him!
Re your roasted veggies that look so good: You roast them for 35 min at 400 degrees?
    Or lower or higher temp?
    Thanks!
