If I see one more hot pepper I might lose it!
Too many hot peppers.
We spent a breezy Tuesday afternoon with the peppers. About an hour into our harvest, I couldn’t help but pray that this would be the last time picking them this season.
It’s not that I hate hot peppers, I just don’t want to spend any more time with them until next year. All good things must come to an end you know!
After a few hours freezing in the peppers we had to tend to our last planting of lettuce. Which included a lot of weeding.
My farm friend Ellen displaying a huge smile when the weeding finally got done!
After the weeding was complete, we had to lay down a row cover to keep the lettuce dry and warm during the really cold mornings.
Laying down the cover is a lot more difficult than it looks. Especially when it’s windy! But look at how beautiful it is.
Henry was there for moral support.
The only thing that powered me through the day was all the fuel I got from Monday nights dinner.
God this was good. And hey, there was even a jalapeno pepper thrown in there. You all should really try to make this. I promise carving the pumpkins out is easy and totally worth the extra time!
Have a great afternoon.
