perfect sweet potato fries

I don’t know about you all, but I love sweet potato fries.  They kick regular french fries out of the ball park for me.  And this time of year there is nothing I love more than sitting back drinking a pumpkin ale, watching football, and munching away at a plate full of sweet potato fries. (I actually don’t enjoy football that much, I just like the beer and snacks!)

These puppies are prefect topped off with shredded parmesan cheese for an added kick.

Oven Baked Sweet Potato Fries (serves 4 easily)

Olive oil for tossing

5 sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into long strips, (about 1/4 inch wide, just like a french fry)

1/2 tsp. paprika

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp pepper

Directions:

Preheat oven to 450

In a large bowl toss sweet potatoes with oil and seasonings.  Spread sweet potatoes evenly over a greased cookie sheet (you may need two) in a single layer. Bake until sweet potatoes are golden brown.  About 20 minutes. Sprinkle sweet potatoes with parmesan cheese and enjoy!

Enjoy!

Mummm I will have to try this as it sounds like something that I could really enjoy while watching football – because football has never been something I enjoy, but boy oh boy do i like the snacks and the fryers will just fill that bill. Your goofy aunt mary the one that hates to cook but loves looking at your food pictures.
