a day in the life

a good farm dog gets to eat carrots if he’s lucky.

yeah, he’s pretty lucky.

Henry is becoming my companion around dinner time.  He likes to help me harvest our next meal.  And taste test everything.  He is becoming a food snob!

Of course, a basket full of kale, carrots, beets, summer squash and garlic is always a good thing.

Henry and I can both agree on that.

Living on the farm the best.

Dinner just keeps getting better.

I hope you all had a nice weekend.  Two of our favorite people are coming over for dinner tonight.  I will let you all know what we cook.  Happy Sunday!

I love Henry, he’s so handsome. My Rexie loves fruit -I have seen him pull an apple off the tree to eat. I have freestone apricots, which I give to him after removing the pit. Yes he’s a dog.

I’m glad that you’ve ALL settled in nicely to farmhouse life. Our westie, Bailey, is Henry’s soulmate – good food rules!! Bailey had her pancreas and duodenum removed 26+ months ago, and was expected to live maybe 6 weeks. . .and she’s still kicking, and enjoying her meals!! (Naturally, we are happy to indulge her to the max!!!)

Great set of pics. Does Henry wait to have the carrots offered or will he dig them for himself? He’s no dumb dog…..
