good morning

I have breakfast for you.

I can’t think of a better way to start the day than with a bacon and cheese biscuit.  These puppies would taste great cut in half with scrambled eggs in the middle.  They taste great toasted with butter, or just plain.  They are easy and delicious.

Taylor proclaimed these the best biscuits ever.  And I don’t think they are half bad either.  They have been fueling us up at the farm mid afternoon.  Nothing gives me strength quite like bacon and cheese.  Yum.

Here is the recipe.

4 slices bacon

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

2 tsp baking powder

1 tsp salt

1 cup whole milk

2 eggs

1 stick of butter melted

1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (or any cheese you like)

Preheat oven to 350

Fry up the  bacon until it’s crispy.  Set aside to cool and then crumble into small pieces.

Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.  In another bowl whisk together eggs, milk, butter, and cheese. Stir well.   Then add the wet and dry ingredients together.   Add the bacon and mix more.  Scoop the batter into greased muffin tins and bake for 30 minutes.  Enjoy.

We are off to the farm for another wet and dreary day of work.

I’m using something like this to entice people at work to sign up to walk for our Relay for Life / American Cancer Society event 😉 What better way to bribe people than with food???
