Alright, here is the recipe for the caramelized onion pizza. This was SO good. I highly recommend making this tonight.
Here is what you’ll need: You can substitute any of the herbs for whatever you would like. This is a guess to how much you will need. Feel free to add more or less of everything.
Pre-made pizza dough or homemade
4 medium yellow onions, sliced about 1/4 inch thick
2 fresh bay leaves
4 fresh thyme sprigs
3 fresh winter savory sprigs
salt, 1/2 tsp
4 tbs extra virgin olive oil
10-15 anchovy fillets diced up
15-20 pitted olives (I used greek)
1. Caramelize your onions in the olive oil. Cook stirring occasionally for about 45 minutes.
2. Spread the onion mixture onto the dough. I oiled my dough a little bit. Then arrange the anchovies and olives evenly around the pizza.
3. Bake in a 475 degree oven for 12-15 minutes.
